For convenience, even so-called "blank" orifices have a small starter hole. This is because centering and drilling a truly blank orifice without the starter hole can be difficult outside of the production environment.

The orifice must be drilled to the proper drill size for a given application. Please tell us the number of burners in your grill and the total BTUs of your grill (less side burner and rotisserie burner, if any).
